I (Wayne) saw some interesting things happen during the ’98 calendar year (see Track_Events_1998_RevB below). I recorded some notes about upcoming track meets [including TV coverage] in the reference 1 calendar.
The year started out with a wonderful trip to the Rose Bowl [see Track_Events_1998_RevB photo]; I rode to Pasadena with Doris & Vermont. And I took a train back to Olympia, WA from the greater Los Angeles area.
In May I attended the note 2 Track meet, which was also held at the University of Oregon; notes about this track meet were recorded on my Reference 1 calendar.
I was unable to attend the Pac-10 Track and Field Outdoor Championships in 1998, however, a co-worker was able to get a program for me, which was much appreciated [see photo 4 below].
Furthermore, I did not attend the Division I NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 1998. Nevertheless, I was able to order the reference 3, 4, 5 and 6 programs via making a phone call to the University of Buffalo; I really appreciated it when the University sent them to me!
I saw the reference 7 movie with Karen on November 1, 1998 at a movie theater in Longview, WA [see "Reference 7 movie tickets (Nov. 1, 1998)” photo below]. The Reference 8 article contains additional information about the Reference 7 movie; the aforementioned article was published on the same day as the movie’s release date.
