I (Wayne) was a spectator at each day of the 1992 NCAA Track & Field Championships (3 June through 6 June 1992), which were held in Austin, Texas. I purchased General Admission tickets to Memorial Stadium. I bought a program for each day of the competition.
I had my Canon TLb film camera, that I took some photographs with. I walked around the stadium and took photographs from different locations. I remember standing near the start of the men’s 110m High Hurdles final, and a track official came up to me and asked me to be careful and not take any pictures until after the gun goes off to ensure that the noise of the camera does not cause a false start. I waited until the competitors went over the first hurdle before I took a picture.
Prior to the track meet, I took some photos of the City of Austin. I was concerned about the heat, so I bought a hat with a rim that I wore each day during the track meet. After the 4 day meet was over, I drove to San Antonio and visited the Alamo and other sites in the City.
