The Alamo
“The Lone Star State”
I (Wayne) visited the state of Texas during the Spring of 1992, when I took a trip there to attend the NCAA Track & Field Championships, which were held at Texas University’s Memorial Stadium in Austin. I flew into Fort Worth, rented a car, and drove to Austin and attended the 4 day track meet. I had time to check out the City of Austin. While there, I bought a hat that provided good protection from the sun; and I took it to the track meet each day. After the final day of the track meet, I drove to San Antonio and visited the Alamo.
