In early December of 2011, I (Wayne) went to San Francisco for a short vacation. I focused on visiting the Fisherman’s Wharf area. However, I used public transportation to visit other districts in San Francisco. For example, I rode on a cable car to Chinatown. I also rode on a streetcar. Because it was December, the Christmas decorations were up. I had a meal at the In-N-Out Burger at the Wharf. I also had a Hot Fudge Sundae at Ghirardelli Square.
On a previous trip, my dad (Vermont) and I were spectators at the 1993 Pac-10 Track & Field Championships (see Note 2), which were held in Berkeley, California.
