During the Week of May 15, 1991, I (Wayne) visited the Grand Canyon's South Rim. From Reference 1: "I got to the Grand Canyon at 11:00 AM. I went to the Visitor Center first, and then went to the Campground at noon. There were only 10 sites available, so I lucked out and got a site. I focused on the West Road of the South Rim.”
I expected to hike part way down the Bright Angel Trail the next day, so I scoped it out the day before from the South Rim.
