To drive to Stewart, one takes the Cassiar Hwy 97 miles to Meziadin Junction, and head W on Hwy 37A for 42 miles. The spectacular Bear glacier can be seen from the Hwy before reaching Stewart. The Canadian/US customs is between Stewart and Hyder. The pavement ends at the border. It is about a 4 mile drive to reach the Fish Creek bear viewing station. The gravel mining road continues to the Salmon glacier overlook, and beyond.
